Missy Lane’s Block Party is turning up the heat on Saturday, October 4, 2025 with Wing Wars, a head-to-head competition for the title of Best Wings in downtown Durham.

We’re inviting local downtown Durham chefs and restaurants to step up, show out, and serve their most mouthwatering wing creations to hundreds of event-goers. The judges? Our block party attendees — your future fans and loyal customers.

Event Details

  • Date: Saturday, October 4, 2025

  • Location: 300-block of East Main Street, Downtown Durham

  • Time: During the main block party festivities

  • Sponsors: Sponsored by Sysco and Toast

  • Judging: Attendees will taste and vote for their favorite wings

  • Prize: Winner will receive a special prize package and bragging rights as Downtown Durham’s Wing Wars Champion (2025)

What’s Provided

  • A stipend to help cover equipment, supplies, and materials needed to participate

  • Booth space at the event to serve your wings
